Unconventional photo and film for all the introverts and nerds in love
We got married in 2015 and our wedding photography experience wasn’t… fantastic. The pricing structure was a minefield, there were some big miscommunications between us and some of our guests even said they were very rude.
The photos are great ~ but unfortunately when we look at them, we’re reminded of the bad experience as well as the happy memories.
When we came to set up our little photo and film business, we decided to learn from our wedding and do things just a bit differently.
You deserve a better experience than the one we got and we’re making it our mission to give it to you!

We believe in documenting the raw and the real moments that happen naturally and spontaneously. We believe in photos and films that look and feel like you ~ with all of your free and feral energy. We believe in recording montages of memories that are wildly human. We believe in creating a safe and supportive space for you to let your soul shine ~ no strict instructions or uncomfortable posing, just you in all your wonderfulness.
The Natural World
Fresh air in our lungs, wind in our hair and mud on our feet is our preferred state of being. The outdoors constantly enchants us and we encourage our clients to surrender to the elements and make memories outside. Come rain or shine, everything in more beautiful if you are enjoying yourself. We can’t promise you won’t get wet but we can promise you’ll have a laugh and make memories you’ll treasure forever.
Explore and Experiment
Life (to us!) is one big adventure; full of fun and fantasy and as a couple, it’s our life value to explore and experiment, so it’s only right that it’s a value of our brand too! We are open-minded, curious and creative humans and we work best with folks who are like us. From roaming through new realms to tinkering away with new technologies ~ we always welcome new ways of wandering and working!

When we say adventure, we don’t mean a perilous expedition to the summit of Mount Everest. We mean finding the Odysseys in the every day things. From nature’s simplicities of cloud watching to paddleboarding across a lake ~ we are here to celebrate your inner child and capture the moments along the way. Adventure isn’t an activity ~ it’s an energy. We’re here to help everyone see that life is just one big adventure!
WHO ARE WE
When I was little, my mum bought me my first toy camera, and since then I was hooked. I used to carry a little film camera everywhere with me on our family holidays, then my mum showed me her old SLR and I knew I needed one of my own. I studied photography at college, and was totally in love. I went on to become a pharmacist as I am also passionate about helping people, though I always carry a camera with me still.
When life settled down I made it my mission to make photography a big part of my life again, and I’ve never looked back!
I absolutely love wedding days. They’re so full of love and happiness, and it just spills over to everyone there! I’m usually the chatty one of the two of us, I’ll be arranging your group photographs and talking you through your portrait session. I’m normally the one with the slightly mad ideas, and Rob is the practical side of my brain that helps us put all of this into action!

I found my love of photography later in my life. I picked up a camera on a bit of a whim one day. I just ordered one from the shop and picked it up on my way home from work one day.
I was working in an office and not really having the best time. I don’t even know what made me order a camera but I’m so glad I did. I’ve always been a creative person with a need to be creating things and I’d sort of neglected that part of myself.
I’m at my happiest when I’m capturing real reactions and emotions on a wedding day. I’m often the one stashed in a corner waiting for the moments to happen. I love hearing and sharing stories (I’m the forever-DM in our D&D group) and I can’t wait to hear yours and help you capture the moments for you to remember it all forever.

Our Magick Method
How do we work and what makes us different?
We understand the internalised notion of being uncomfortable in front of the camera ~ we’ve been there ourselves! We wield the power to reshape your perception, replacing uncertainty with newfound self-esteem and confidence. The Magick Method is a space we conjure up where self-consciousness dissipates, leaving behind only the loveliness of your wonderful (but maybe a little wacky!) self.
Step one. Just Wander!
That’s it. Just walk out to a place, turn around and walk back. We don’t ask you to do anything else!
You get to burn a little bit of nervous energy and you don’t have to look at us with our cameras. You might even forget we’re there.
Do that again, but this time…
We’ll give you something else to think about. Maybe we just tell you to chat to each other about how weird you feel, or we’ll ask you to bump hips together as you walk or something.
Nice and simple still but stepping it up a bit.
Have a little dance.
We’ll put some music on and if you’re starting to relax into the shoot a little bit we’ll get you dancing. You don’t have to be a pro ~ dancing is still fun.
If we’re not at the dancing stage yet that’s cool ~ we’ll get you skipping instead!
Ok, let’s calm down a bit.
We’ll get you to have a sit down and relax a bit. By now you’re going to be feeling a bit better about having us hanging around so we start to being you guys back down and grounded in the moment.
Play the alphabet game!
We’re always chatting with you guys, finding out what you do for a living, how you met and what you’re having for tea. But sometimes we get you playing some silly games.
One of our favourites is the alphabet game. All you do is take turns choosing a word to describe the other using the next letter of the alphabet. We’ll give you the first one for free ~ AMAZING!
Do it for the plot!
We’ll have chatted about a few ideas of an activity to do during your shoot. Maybe it’s getting in the sea for a paddle or having hot chocolate in a thermos. Whatever it is, now’s the time!
We try not to spring anything on you on the day unless an opportunity we weren’t expecting crops up. You don’t need to worry about us suddenly asking you to go swimming or abseiling or something.
That’s it!
We’ll ask if there are any ideas you guys came up with while we were going along that we didn’t get to do but otherwise we’re done.
